A busy day of painting and singing. Enjoy a few of the production videos.
First, the marquee. Candace did a wonderful job taking our image and blowing it up
Next, with the theater's A/C out, the ensemble managed to learn the opening and closing numbers tonight. Here they are singing "A Wedding on the Way".
And finally, Kim (Scarlet) and John (Chester) sing our lover's duet.
Fun stuff! And destined to be even better with dancing and costumes and lights!
Welcome to the Princess Knight. Here you can follow the production as it travels from imagination to the stage this Summer. I've already come so far, but now I have all of you joining me! This site will be used to share pieces of script, photos, clips, interviews, designs, and more! Hopefully, as we move closer and closer to the premiere, we'll have a great archive of what this show has become! So, let's get started!

#25 - Night One
The first night of blocking and singing has ended, and it went wonderfully! I'm pretty sure everyone was able to keep up with my machine-gun blocking, and Don did some amazing music direction at the same time. Our royalty are already developing their royal attitudes. Our Megan, Missa, and Bryce have a great three-side musical argument in the works, though Candace's Vesper has her say in the matter too! John is definitely going to have bumps and bruises if he's going to be falling to the ground every time he tells the tale of King Arthur. And Kim is already finding her Scarlet who is a lil' creeper so far. Hop over to the Princess Knight facebook group to see pictures and a video of the night's work.
#24 - The Original Cast of the Princess Knight
It was a long decision making process, but after a long night and early morning... and afternoon, we now have the cast of our show. We had a read-through last night, and it was exciting to see the beginnings of what all the fine actors are going to be creating with these characters who have only existed in imagination until now. Everyone from Scarlet to the villagers of the kingdoms have already begun to bring their characters to life. Now, to get them out from behind a table with their noses in books and begin moving around the set and stage! I give you the cast of the Princess Knight:
Scarlet - Kim Casey
Chester - John Kobernick
Lily - Julie Patton
Baron Von Briar Thorn - Nathaniel Hedges-Goettl
Vesper - Candace Ostler
The Wolf - Megan Schreoder
The Therapist - Libby Grahn
